It’s inspired by the aesthetics of the 1980s, leveraging bright colors and funky shapes to convey a sense of the creativity in our DNA. The confident attitude of this brand’s voice (both aesthetic and written) is a throughline that connects every aspect of the brand ecosystem.

Design Principles

Instead of rules, we’ve written a set of principles (mostly borrowed and adapted from Dieter Rams) that gives you an idea of the world this brand lives in. Ultimately, we want people who see the Odyssey Studios brand, in any form, to say, “Yeah, thats it!”

It’s innovative

We innovate in storytelling all the time. Our brand must do the same thing. It isn’t static. It's not prescriptive. It’s adaptive to the situation. But, all that to say, it still must be cohesive and in the end, feel like a total system, not a bunch of disparate pieces.

It’s aesthetic

It has to look as good as it sounds, and sound as good as it looks. From the choice of photos to the consistency in which each element is created and placed, it must be balanced, elegant, and visually tight.

It’s honest

If we promise to tell fun, engaging, entertaining stories for our clients, we must do the same with our communications. People won’t believe we can do what we say if we don't do it for ourselves. Let's not be shoeless cobbler’s kids.

It’s thorough

Every detail matters, every time. A brand is only as strong as it’s weakest representation. So, you, as the representative of our brand, are as powerful as any other single factor our clients interact with. It all matters. Every single time.
